When I was thinking about what I wanted to walk down the aisle to, Canon in D as beautiful as it is, was not going to do it for me. I did use that song for my bridal party processional, as it is such a classic and gives me chills every time. However, I pictured something a bit more dramatic for my entrance.
I was in college when I first saw the movie Cruel Intentions. I have always loved the Verve and when I heard "Bittersweet Symphony" I literally teared up. The ending is so dramatic to this movie, and it has stayed with me for years.
This was the song I used for my processional. It was amazing, so amazing in fact that I didn't even hear the whole song because I was so moved. I had a staircase that I descended down from for my ceremony, so it couldn't have been more perfect. We had violins and a piano, so it was a live performance that our band learned.
