JLD-more than invitations and stationery#
My graphic design experience lends itself to design anything and everything. If it can be printed or designed for a website, than I am on it. Here is an example of business cards, one is mine, and the other is for my friend/wedding planner/client. You can also see how her business card has carried through to her website, at www.theidealday.com.

I am all about design flow. I believe it is not only pleasing to the eye, but also essential for marketing a product or service. If you would like more information on my graphic design work or any project needs, my information can be found on my website at www.jamieldesigns.com.

I love cake#
The wedding cake is one of the things that I ALWAYS look forward to at weddings. Something about the anticipation of all that yummy goodness at the end of a great meal just makes me happy. This is also the focus of my invitation line, appropriately called Buttercream. I am getting hungry for cake already!

You can personalize your invitation by using the cake design that will be at your wedding (or birthday party, or bar/bat mitzvah, or baby shower, etc.) If you do not have a cake designed yet, this could be the perfect inspiration to start planning for it!

custom bridemaids cards#
My bridesmaid's were one of the most important elements in my wedding. They have been there in all different points in my life, and have influenced who I am today. I wanted to make sure they were thanked, and create something that they can look at years from now and remember....especially what they wore!

These cards can be personalized for any ensemble that you have chosen (or what your friend's have chosen) to wear on your special day. Looking to really wow your maids? Contact Jamie Lynn Designs to start your own customized set!

custom wedding design #
I wanted to make sure that all the elements in my wedding flowed. I took different elements of each piece to create a consistent design while keeping things interesting. This can be done with any element for any event, and really creates a mood to match!

Amber Twilight design suite#
I am always excited to see my work in print. Its great to see how styles evolve when the client's input is involved! I designed my friend Sara and Howie's save the dates, and here is the printed piece. This was inspired by my stock design, Amber Twilight, which is now also Sara's design!

Inspiration from Laos#
Do you have a favorite photograph that you would like to incorporate into your wedding design or special event? This inspiration is not limited only to photographs. Other elements that can be used are fabric swatches, family heirlooms, or even a favorite painting.

We had over 1500 pictures from our honeymoon, so it was hard to narrow down everything that I took photographs of! I was especially interested in the amazing art and architecture that was everywhere. I knew I wanted to use this for inspiration for my work, so here are some examples of what I saw and how I used that to create the designs below.

One Save the Date, Two Ways#
I am currently designing my friend's wedding invitations, and have started the Save the Dates. I have designed two examples using the same design element. This is a great way to introduce a wedding style using a modern design, while still having a traditional or modern look.

Untraditional Brides Processional#
When I was thinking about what I wanted to walk down the aisle to, Canon in D as beautiful as it is, was not going to do it for me. I did use that song for my bridal party processional, as it is such a classic and gives me chills every time. However, I pictured something a bit more dramatic for my entrance.

I was in college when I first saw the movie Cruel Intentions. I have always loved the Verve and when I heard "Bittersweet Symphony" I literally teared up. The ending is so dramatic to this movie, and it has stayed with me for years.

This was the song I used for my processional. It was amazing, so amazing in fact that I didn't even hear the whole song because I was so moved. I had a staircase that I descended down from for my ceremony, so it couldn't have been more perfect. We had violins and a piano, so it was a live performance that our band learned. If you haven't seen Cruel Intentions, I highly suggest it. Below is the link to the ending of the movie with the song Bittersweet Symphony. If you still intend to see it, don't let this spoil the movie for you and go rent it ASAP!
